The University of Utah Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling is a two-year master’s degree program that prepares students to practice genetic counseling.

The Program is housed in the School of Medicine and is an interdisciplinary collaboration between the Departments of Human Genetics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Program faculty members include leaders in the field of genetics.

The University of Utah in Salt Lake City is located on the western slope of the Wasatch Mountains, with unique access to some of the finest recreational opportunities in the country.

The Program is accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC). Students graduating from the Program will be eligible to apply for Active Candidate Status and take the ABGC certification examination.
